This latest version of QuickTime is much heavier and more functional than the previous ones in the series.

Default software settings (just after installation) are quite annoing and make this tool AdWare-like.

I've had problems with Quicktime throughout its long history. I always install it hoping it works, and unfortunately often it doesn't.

Never liked this software.
Apple still can't get simple Windows interface right with this one.
When exiting, it keeps asking to save the file even if it isn't modified.
When the MessageBox comes up with Yes/No, you have to physically click the button as there is no default set so you can use the enter key.
Also there are no accelerator keys so you can press "y" or "n"

I'm off to look at VLC.
