QuickTime is a multimedia software platform developed by Apple Inc. It is primarily used for playing video, audio, and interactive content across various platforms.
It says this works for a XP laptop but after 3 unsuccessful attempts, it will not work and the message says it works on windows 7, which I have. No alternative but to delete this and look for another that will work with the old XP Prof.

While QuickTime is compatible with Windows 7, it may not be compatible with Windows XP Professional. It seems you have tried multiple times without success. If QuickTime is not working for you on Windows XP Professional, it may be necessary to find an alternative media player that is compatible with that operating system.
Delete the Quick-Time folder in Program Files... Using a Registry Cleaner, clean the Registry... This will delete Registry Entries such as Missing Shared dlls, Unused File Extensions, ActiveX and Class Issues, etc.
I have a CD in Spanish. While I execute the MAHB.exe file, a message appears on my screen saying that QuickTime could not be initialized. Could you please help me to fix the problem. Thank you.

Quick Time player is the media player of Apple which can be used to play DVD, CD, MOV and other common media formats. With some other plugins, it can also play WMV, MP4 and other Microsoft formats. But it has nothing to do with Blu-ray. And no plugin or codec can help with this. To solve this problem, you have to install another 3rd party software Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player, the first commercial Blu-ray software to make BD available on Mac.

I was wondering if quicktime has the ability to record with a selected window, similar to the 'capture a selected window' option.
I am unsure if there is a way to do so like that, but you can just only select the area that the window is in to record, and it should work fine.

My DVD player/recorder supports Blu-ray, but it won't play Blu-ray discs. Do I need to download a special codec?
Install the update of Quick-Time from the Apple Website... Your problem will be Solved...
Quick time, is a good tool for video viewing, however, it does take up a lot of space along with the Apple product package.
I am facing this trouble myself, hence I have installed the Quick Time standalone, which does not require any Apple product package to be installed.
Delete the Quick-Time folder in Program Files... Using a Registry Cleaner, clean the Registry... This will delete Registry Entries such as Missing Shared dlls, Unused File Extensions, ActiveX and Class Issues, etc.
It will not play saved videos from camcorder and it does not let me uninstall it. I get a fatal error message.
Remove all its components manually, and delete its entry in the add or remove programs in control panel.
Re install Fist And Start Uninstall........................
